Franklin D. Raines

Mr. Raines joined Grain’s Board of Senior Advisors in 2023 bringing over forty years of experience in financial services, venture investing and public policy.

Mr. Raines is the retired Chairman & CEO of Fannie Mae, the largest non-bank financial services company in the world, and a former General Partner of Lazard Freres & Co. He has served as a director of Boeing, Pfizer, PepsiCo, AOL, Time Warner and TIAA.  He currently serves on the boards of four venture-backed companies. He previously served as Director of the US Office of Management and Budget and is a Regent of the Smithsonian Institution.
