David Grain

Mr. Grain is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Grain Management.
Prior to founding Grain in 2007, Mr. Grain led Pinnacle Towers (later renamed Global Signal) from bankruptcy to a successful IPO, transforming it into one of the largest independent wireless communication tower companies in the world. Prior to Global Signal, Mr. Grain served as Senior Vice President of AT&T Broadband’s New England Region and was an Executive Director in the High Yield Finance Department at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Grain is an Independent Director of Dell Technologies, Director of New Fortress Energy, Trustee of the Brookings Institution, member of the Southern Company’s Board of Directors, a member of the Advisory Council of the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Board Chair of the Martha’s Vineyard Museum, and member of the Dartmouth Board of Trustees. He was appointed as a member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council in 2011 and again in 2024 and is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Mr. Grain holds an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He holds a B.A. in English from the College of the Holy Cross, where he served for eight years as a Trustee.
